Rabbi Cathy L Felix
Rabbi Felix brings enthusiasm and experience to Temple Beth Am. A long time resident of New Jersey, she has served in small congregations for more than 20 years. Most recently, she was the spiritual leader of the Jewish Center of Sussex County in Newton, New Jersey for over a decade. At Yale, she deepened her passion for Judaism with her involvement with Hillel and a regular at Shabbat services. She went on to Hebrew Union College- Jewish Institute of Religion, where she received her ordination in 1980, one of the first 25 women to be ordained. She has served on college campuses and in congregations in the Boston area and then in the New York- New Jersey area.
Rabbi Felix is celebrating her 35th wedding anniversary this year to Rabbi Elliot S Schoenberg. They are the proud parents of three sons, Daniel, Ari and Gabe.
